MoT's promotional campaign on bus boosts Oman's popularity in France


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The Ministry of Tourism (MoT) recently organised a two-week promotional campaign on wheels in Paris France stated a press release.

As many as 25 buses with 10sq m posters showcasing Oman's landscape travelled to the most important landmarks and attractions in Paris.

The buses visited landmarks like the Eiffel Tower The Opera Champs Elysées Arc de Triomphe and the Place de la Concorde. Parked at the Champs Elysées and the Arc de Triomphe on New Year's eve one of the buses also featured on a French TV channel.

The main of the campaign was to attract visitors to Oman and present it as an attractive travel destination in the French market the release added.

The campaign has also increased sultanate's popularity as the number of likes on MoT's Facebook page increased from 5000 to 8157 during the period.

The ministry's website in French (www.omantourisme.com) also saw 63.9 per cent rise in new visitors during the period. The campaign began on December 30 and concluded on January 12.
