(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Ibrahim Saif, on Wednesday, discussed with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Antonio Guterres, burdens borne by Jordan as a result of hosting a massive influx of Syrian refugees.
The minister told the UN official that the international community must step up efforts to ease pressure placed on countries hosting Syrian refugees through providing additional aid and assistance.
They also discussed the Jordan Refugees Response Plan 2015 which seeks to help the Kingdom bears the burdens of the refugees inflow, especially in host communities.
Guterres stressed the need for further international community support to Jordan to help it difficulties arising from the refugees crisis.
