Interior minister meets Regional Director of SOS Children's Villages


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Interior Minister Hussein Majali on Wednesday received Board Member and Regional Director of SOS Children's Villages in the Middle East and North Africa, Rachel Bourget and the accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, Majali stressed that the government is constantly following up on children's villages in Jordan, and supports their work mechanism to help achieve their objectives of inclusive development of children after equipping them with all social, scientific and practical qualifications.

Bourget praised Jordan's efforts in supporting children villages aimed at finding families for children in need as well as helping them to determine their future.

The first SOS Children's Village in Jordan was opened in 1986 in the capital Amman. The SOS Children's Village in Jordan has continued to grow since its establishment providing high-quality services to orphaned and abandoned children throughout Jordan.
