Spirit of Dubai an instant success


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) As the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) opened the door to its 20th edition last week, Nabeel Perfumes considered it an appropriate move to launch its new range of prestigious, classic and ultra-luxury perfume called 'The Spirit of Dubai Parfums' which evokes the opulence, elegance and mystique of Dubai and pays rich tribute to the visionary leadership of the emirate and its Ruler.

Dignitaries and perfume lovers thronged the Dubai Mall to experience this new luxury range of unbelievable, unique and classic fragrances under the brand.

The fragrant 'Spirit of Dubai' promotion stand at the ground floor next to Bloomingdales remained a prime focus of residents, tourists and Gulf nationals during a five-day launch period that ended on January 6 and received a phenomenal response as was evident with record sales, orders and enquiries.

"The Spirit of Dubai is an instant success as is evident from the tremendous and unbelievable feedback from the enthusiastic sightseers and visitors to our stand at the Dubai Mall," a joyous Asghar Adam Ali (Al Attar), founder and chairman, Nabeel Perfumes, told Khaleej Times at the launch event.

"The Spirit of Dubai is my dream project and I'm really happy to see the remarkable response from the visitors including Local residents, Arab nationals, Westerners, Eastern Europeans, Chinese, South Asians and Asians, amongst others," he said.

In light of this immense response, it has been decided to further the campaign at the same location again from January 13-19 so that visitors who missed out on the first phase due to prior commitments will now have another opportunity to experience the brand firsthand.

Tribute to Dubai's leadership

Asghar Adam Ali said 'The Spirit of Dubai' has been launched to pay rich tribute to the visionary leadership of Dubai due to which the emirate stands tall among the League of Nations.

"I salute His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, for framing such an impressive vision that has put the emirate on the track to success and development."

"Dubai has become an international hub for business due to the wise leadership and friendly policies of Shaikh Mohammed and keeping in line with his approach 'The Spirit of Dubai' brand has been launched to acknowledge his vision for mankind, development and growth," he said.

"It is the perfect time and place to introduce this high-class brand here as Dubai has hit peak levels as far as its infrastructure, policies, tax-free business environment and other facilities are concerned."

The emirate is already a leader in meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (Mice) industry and will host World Expo 2020 in five years' time, so it is an ideal situation to introduce The Spirit of Dubai brand across the world, he added.

Massive commercial launch

Asghar Adam Ali, said the new range of 'The Spirit of Dubai' would be launched commercially by the end of January or early part of February in the UAE, Middle East and international markets across the world. Today, all luxury brands are being imported to the region but 'The Spirit of Dubai' will reverse that trend by being manufactured in the UAE and exported to the world of luxury.

"The high-end luxury brand will be available at most A-class boutiques, prestigious stores, international airlines as well as airport duty-free kiosks in major markets."

"The Spirit of Dubai product range will be simultaneously launched in Middle East, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Russia and United States," he added.

Exclusive boutiques

Asghar Adam Ali, who has an impeccable vision of becoming a global leader in the fragrance industry, said Nabeel Perfumes will set up numerous boutiques and special outlets only to market 'The Spirit of Dubai' all across the UAE this year.

"We have plans to inaugurate similar exclusive boutiques and outlets for 'The Spirit of Dubai' first in the GCC region and then at major international malls and shopping centres." He was quite confident of the brand's success.

"We are advertising widely in local and international media to promote the brand," he said, adding that it is not an easy task to launch a brand in the competitive environment of Dubai. It takes 12 to 18 months minimum to evolve a strategy before introducing a high quality brand into the market," he said, adding that 'The Spirit of Dubai' was launched after two-years of well-crafted business strategy, research and market study.

Asghar Adam Ali said the group will further boost its product portfolio of 'The Spirit of Dubai' soon.

Old brand with a new look

'The Spirit of Dubai Parfums' is available in five fragrances - Bahar, Abraj, Rimal, Meydan and Oud - defining the prime elements of Dubai city. The perfumes are presented in uniquely designed bottles and come in creative packaging to reflect the inspirations behind each scent.

Bahar means 'Sea', is inspired by the coastline of Dubai; Rimal means 'Dunes' is inspired by the certain magic that prevails in the desert; Abraj means 'Towers' is inspired by the city's skyscrapers; Meydan means 'Sports field' is inspired by Dubai's passion for horse racing; and Oud is an age old Arabic traditional fragrance with pure and natural Indian Agarwood oil.
