ME wire, cable industry value to hit USD1t by 2018

(MENAFN) The value of the Middle East wire and cable industry is projected to be worth around USD1 trillion by 2018, with the industry expected to offer domestic and global wire and cable producers major investments opportunities in the industry and the region, Khaleej Times reported.

The forecast was presented during the Wire & Cable Arabia 2015, a show which highlighted the latest developments in the wire and cable market as well as focusing on business leads and business prospects in the industry.

The show was attended by many GCC clients, mainly telecoms and power utilities, who are buying from the regional cable and wire manufacturers thus boosting the local industry.

"The show serves as a powerful platform to build strong business partnerships and forge strategic alliances between cables and wires producers and in-country distributors," GM of Al Fajer Information and Services, the organizers of the show, said.
