Saudi, Maaden, RTCC sign USD149.92m deal


(MENAFN) Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden) announced it has signed a deal with Al-Rashid Trading & Contracting Company Ltd. (RTCC) worth USD149.92 million, Arab News reported.

Under the deal, RTCC will be responsible for designs, engineering works, infrastructure and housing in the first phase development of a residential city in King Abdullah Project to develop Waad Al-Shamal City.

It also includes preparing engineering studies, designs, supervision works, construction of major roads, public facilities, water plants and telecommunications networks, in addition to the first phase of residential complexes, besides safety and firefighting stations.

The project, which Maaden and its partners, SABIC and Mosaic, are investing USD7.45 billion to build, will include the construction of seven plants in Waad Al-Shamal city and three facilities in Ras Al-Khair Industrial City, with a combined production capacity estimated at 16.000 tons of phosphate products.
