(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) A host of Diwaniya "gathering hall" owners on Monday expressed pride over the UN honoring of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as a "Humanitarian Leader" and Kuwait as a "Humanitarian Center." In statements following their meeting with His Highness the Amir today, they said the global honoring came in recognition of his prominent efforts supporting humanitarian work worldwide.
The global title is honor and pride for all Kuwaitis, they said, emphasizing His Highness the Amir's deep political experience and wisdom, and how he has raised Kuwait to an eminent status on the world map, praying for more progress, welfare and prosperity for the country.
In addition, they said it was great honoring meeting with His Highness the Amir, lauding his efforts that extended aid and assistance to needy people around the globe, as well as contributing to reaching peace in other cases.
During the meeting, His Highness the Amir thanked the Kuwaiti people for their charitable contributions, which granted him and the country the unprecedented global titles, they said.
