Dubai Trade visits DAMCO to enhance customer service

(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) A delegation from Dubai Trade, the premier cross-border trade facilitator, along with officials from DP World, Dubai Customs, and Jafza, recently visited DAMCO as part of Dubai Trade's ongoing efforts to strengthen stakeholder relationships, obtain customer feedback and ensure an efficient supply chain in the trading community.

The visit began with DAMCO's appreciation for Dubai Trade's ongoing initiatives to facilitate trade procedures through online services. Jamal Majid bin Thaniah, Chairman of Dubai Trade, said, "Meetings with our key stakeholders are vital for ensuring that our future services are built around their needs. We have more than 100,000 users on the Dubai Trade Portal, and DAMCO is a heavy user of our services. Such meetings allow us to better understand our clients and their requirements so that we always prioritise their interests while planning new services or improving existing ones." Dubai Trade has developed innovative concepts in online services to facilitate effective electronic transactions. Its locally developed web portal is designed to serve the entire trade supply chain and is a vital link between the trading community and key industrial sectors.

Michael Jacob, CEO Middle East Area of DAMCO, valued the significant visit of Dubai Trade, while praising the vital role that Dubai Trade plays in reducing paper-work and streamlining business operations within the trade and logistics community in Dubai. "We are proud to say that we fully adopt Dubai Trade e-Services as they are easier, faster and cost effective solutions." DAMCO, part of the AP Moller-Maersk Group, is a leading freight forwarder and a heavy user of Dubai Trade's online services. The meeting proved to be constructive, with many suggestions and ideas being generated during the open discussion.
