(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation - Kahramaa - is participating in the 25th Doha International Book Fair with activities highlighting its Tarsheed national campaign.
The Kahramaa booth includes activities for kids and visitors, including a marionette show giving conservation tips to visitors.
There is also a handworks corner presenting activities including painting, clay, puzzles.
A stories corner is encouraging children to make up stories on conservation inspired by the displayed images and paintings.
The best stories are published by Kahramaa.
"The Tarsheed programme appears at all national events. The book fair is a good opportunity and great event to disseminate the culture of conservation. We are keen to be here every year," said Somaya Al Mutawa, Head, Community Awareness and Development, Kahramaa.
An opinion poll on drinking water quality is available for visitors, she added.
"The Kahramaa booth presents the winning stories in Tarsheed Contest 2014 in the preliminary, preparatory, and secondary categories. It also presents Qatoura and Kahroub stories."
Maryam Al Jaber, Community Awareness Coordinator, Kahramaa, said, "Our participation in the fair is valuable. We endeavour to deeply root the culture of conservation in society through our activities, stories and gifts."
