Qatar- Entrepreneurship in Economic Development forum in March


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Qatar University College of Business and Economics (QU-CBE) will host the second Entrepreneurship in Economic Development forum in March, in collaboration with Interactive Business Network (IBN) and the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.

The two-day event themed 'Fostering the New Generation of Entrepreneurs in Qatar and the Gulf' will be held under the patronage of the Minister of Economy and Commerce

H E Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim Al Thani.

Details of the event at Sheraton Doha were announced in a press conference yesterday, led by CBE Dean Dr Nitham Hindi and IBN Chief Executive Raed Chehaib.

The forum aims is inspire and boost entrepreneurship among the young generation in Qatar and other GCC countries, enabling them to develop individual initiatives to support economic development and prosperity in line with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.

It follows the success of the first forum last year that attracted a host of business and finance leaders and industry experts and gave young prospective entrepreneurs the opportunity to learn about the ins-and-outs of planning, setting up and managing a business.

The forum will feature panel discussions, workshops, and case studies presented by experts from Qatar and visiting business leaders to provide insights on the latest concepts and practices shaping entrepreneurship, and advise attendees on how to apply them according to international best practice.

They will also inspire and encourage attendees' entrepreneurship aspirations after graduation.

Case studies will look at success stories of prominent entrepreneurs in different business sectors around the world.
