(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) The population issue in Yemen is high on the United Nations Population Fund's (UNFPA) list of priorities, said UNFPA Resident Coordinator in Yemen on Monday.
During her meeting with Yemen's Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mohamed Al-Maitami, Lene Christiansen expressed the Fund's keenness to continue its assistance to Yemen, noting to the great challenges imposed by the population issue in Yemen.
The Minister reviewed the challenges Yemen faces due to hike of the population growth in the country, Yemen News Agency (Saba) reported.
