Australia's job ads grow seven months in a row

(MENAFN) Job advertisements in Australia kept rising for seventh months in a row to 1.8 percent in December, according to a new survey released on Monday, Xinhua reported.

Although the ANZ Bank Job Ads survey showed that job ads grew 11.4 percent for the year 2014, experts said the rise in unemployment was still a concern.

ANZ chief economist said new job opportunities did not match the large number of new entrants - university students and final school leavers - joining the workforce.

"The improving trend in job ads appears to be at odds with the official employment data which continues to depict a rising unemployment rate," he said in a statement.
