Saudi Arabia identifies fourth attacker on border crossing post


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Saudi Interior Ministry Sunday identified the fourth attacker who participated in an attack against a border crossing in the northern Arar region.

The ministry, in a statement quoted by the official SPA, identified the fourth attacker as Salem Mohammad Al-Shemmeri, a Saudi national.

The family of Al-Shemmeri, who was killed when the explosive belt he was wearing went off during an exchange of fire with security forces during the attack, was informed, noted the statement.

Four armed men attack the Suwaif station at the Jdeidat Arar border crossing last Monday killing three security men and wounding two others.

The other three attackers, who were killed in the attack, were identified by the interior ministry as Awwad Al-Mutairi, Abdulrahman Al-Shamrani, and Abdullah Al-Shemmari.
