Kuwait's FM heads Arab delegation to Lebanon


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah left here Monday at the head of an Arab delegation to Lebanon to show solidarity with the Arab country in the critical phase it undergoes.

The Arab delegation also includes Mauritanian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Ahmed Ould Teguedi and the Arab League Secretary General Nabil Al-Araby.

The visit comes in implementation of an Arab League Council resolution with the aim of showing Arab solidarity with the Lebanese people and government, as well as to support efforts on the political, economic and security level in order to maintain security and stability of all Lebanese territories.

Arab League's efforts in consultation with the Lebanese institutions and various political forces will also be discussed in order to promote stability and promote economic growth in the Arab country.

The Arab ministerial delegation will also discuss ways to help Lebanon to deliver its humanitarian role towards Syrians and Palestinians refugees.

The delegation on its one-day visit is also scheduled to meet with several Lebanese officials, including Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, Lebanese Prime Minister Saeb Salam and Lebanese Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil.
