(MENAFN) Oman's Ministry of Oil and Gas said that the Sultanate's crude oil and condensate production registered an increase in December by 1.15 per cent compared to November 2014, amounting to 28.894.980 barrels, with an average of 932,096 barrels a day (bpd), Times of Oman reported.
The Ministry though added that the total exported crude oil in December 2014 amounted to 23.999.859 barrels, an average of 774,189 bpd, thus declining by 3.45 percent in comparison to November.
In terms of market, the Asian market received the biggest share of Oman's oil exports, with China still topping the list of Oman's crude oil importers in December 2014 with 83.98 percent, while the percentage of the imported quantities by Taiwan declined by 12.45 percent to hit 8.23 per cent, and the imported quantities by Thailand, Sri Lanka and Tanzania recorded a marginal decline.
