S. Korea's auto exports decline in 2014

(MENAFN) South Korea's auto exports decreased for the second straight year in 2014 due to mainly to sluggish markets in Eastern Europe and Latin America, goverment data showed, QNA reported.

Overseas shipments of vehicles stood at 3.06 million units last year, down 0.9 percent from the previous year, data by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Enegry showed.

The ministry attributed the decrease to weak exports to Eastern Europe as well as South and Central America and the European Union (EU), local media reported.

Shipments to Eastern European countries fell 23.5 percent last year from 2013, with exports to South and Central America and the EU also dropping.
