Sharjah — The Sharjah Police have arrested three Nigerians who allegedly tried to steal from two ATMs in Sharjah Industrial Area Number 10. A senior police official said they were notified about the theft attempt on New Year’s eve.
The police collected forensic evidence from the crime scene. Investigations revealed that the suspects cut off the power supply and destroyed the surveillance cameras inside the ATM booth.
The suspects were arrested during the course of the investigation and all three reportedly confessed to committing the crime. The police have recovered the tools used in commission of the crime and referred the suspects to the public prosecution.
