Iran's IKCO targets Omani market


(MENAFN) Iran Khodro Company (IKCO), a leading car manufacturer in Iran and the Middle East, announced it is targeting Oman as a potential market for the export and re-export of its products, Times of Oman reported.

IKCO, which has USD6.240 million in assets and generated total revenue of USD4.480 million in 2013, owns a large share of Iran's auto market, in addition to exporting its products to the international markets to countries such as Russia, Belarus, Syria, Turkey, Iraq and Lebanon.

IKD also said that it is looking to export its products to a number of countries, including Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Tunisia, Mauritania, Senegal, Ivory Coast and Cameroon.

IKCO, which has five manufacturing sites across Iran with a total capacity of 1.1 million units per year, also has overseas production units in Syria, Belarus, Senegal, Venezuela, and Iraq.
