Unknwon gunmen kill Houthi official in Sanaa


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Unknown gunmen shot dead a leader in Houthi's Ansar Allah group in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, on Saturday, a security source said.

The gunmen were riding a motorbike and sprayed Dr. Mohammad Mutahhar Al-Shami, chairman of the Medical Revolutionary Committee at the Military Hospital, with bullets and killed him on the spot, the source was quoted by the official SABA news agency as saying.

Another person, who was not named, was accompanying Al-Shami and was injured in the hit-and-run attack, said the source.

The source said the attack might have been carried out by Al-Qaeda.
