Abu Dhabi inflation up by 0.7 percent

(MENAFN) According to the Statistics Centre of Abu Dhabi, the emirate's consumer inflation rate is expected to increase marginally by 0.7 percent during the January-March period of 2015 in comparison with the fourth quarter of 2014, Khaleej Times reported.

The Centre said that the consumer price inflation (CPI) is estimated for the first quarter of 2015 to be at an average 131.7 points, an increase of 0.7 per cent compared with the fourth quarter of 2014.

The increase in the CPI is attributed to the rise in the prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, contributing 46.1 per cent to the change, followed by furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance prices.
