(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The prolific duo of Qatari trainer Jassim Al Ghazali and Dubai-based jockey Harry Bentley had another scintillating day at the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club yesterday, where they made it to the podium no less than five times and won the day's marquee race - the Al Jassasiya Cup.

Bentley rode Al Shaqab to victory in the 1200m race to claim the top prize of QR57,000. He was followed by P. Convertino on Mutawassal, trained by A. de Mieulle, and Marvin Suerland on Mustabseel, trained by M. Al Yaqout.

Bentley also won the penultimate race of the day with Five Avenue. The Al Ghazali-trained horse steamed ahead of Amico Mio, ridden by Gerald Avranche, and Elwazeer, ridden by Yanis Aouabed, to win the top prize of QR45,600.

Bentley also finished third in the Thoroughbred Handicap Rated 65-85 race, second in the Thoroughbred Graduation Plate race and third in the P/A Maiden Plate race.

Besides those horses ridden by Bentley, three other steeds trained by Ghazali also made it to the podium.
