Kuwait denounces Charlie Hebdo attack
(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) An official of the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the deadly terrorist attack on the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in Paris earlier Wednesday.
Kuwait News Agency, KUNA, quoted the Foreign Ministry's source as saying, "This despicable, heinous and criminal act runs counter to the true values of noble Islam, which advocate peace and tolerance." "There are taboos in Islamic teachings against killing or terrorising innocent people," he added, noting that the perpetrators of the deadly attack are "a group of misled criminal insurgents who use Islam as a pretext for justifying their cowardly acts." The official expressed condolences to the French government, people and families of the victims, wishing for a swift recovery for the wounded.
