OIC condemns Charlie Hebdo attack

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Spokesperson of the Islamophobia Observatory at the OIC Secretariat strongly condemned the terrorist attack against the office of Charlie Hebdo Magazine in Paris on Wednesday. "Such acts of terror only represent the criminal perpetrators; and reiterated OIC's unwavering and principled position, which condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

"Violence and radicalism were, indeed, the biggest enemies of Islam and went against all its fundamental principles and values," the spokesperson said in a press release. The OIC hopes that the perpetrators would be apprehended and brought to justice by the concerned French authorities; and conveys deepest sympathy with, and condolences for, the bereaved families, the spokesperson added.

Unknown gunmen opened fire at the magazine's office this midday, killing at least 12 people and wounding eight others.
