(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) At least 12 militants were killed during precise air strikes by gunship helicopters of Pakistan military on Wednesday in Waziristan tribal region bordering Afghanistan, said military.
According to a military statement, four terrorist hideouts were destroyed through aerial strikes by gunship helicopters. The air strikes are a continuation of the comprehensive military operation against foreign and local militants launched in June 2014.
North Waziristan is one of the seven semi-autonomous tribal regions governed by tribal laws and facing militants' insurgency for last many years.
