(MENAFN) South Korea's exports of industrial parts and materials recorded its highest growth rates in 2014 with its trade surplus in the sector also climbing to an all-time high, according to the government, QNA reported.
Outbound shipments of industrial parts and materials grew 4.9 percent annually to USD276 billion, accounting for 48 percent of the country's overall exports last year, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said.
Exports of industrial parts increased 5.9 percent annually to USD188 billion with shipments of industrial materials gaining 3 percent to USD88.1 billion, local media reported.
The country's trade surplus in the sector improved to a record USD107.9 billion as imports gained 1.6 percent annually to USD168.1 billion.
