Interior minister, Kuwaiti ambassador discuss ties, region


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Interior Minister Hussein Majali described the security situation in the Kingdom as "excellent" and attributed it to the wise leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, Jordanians' awareness about the developments in the region and the efforts of the security agencies to preserve security and stability in the region.

At a meeting with the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Jordan, Hamad Al Duaij, the minister said the government is keen to provide all attention and care to Kuwaitis and other Arab Gulf citizens in Jordan, noting that it is continuously following up on condition of investors and students from Arab Gulf states.

During the meeting, Majali discussed with the ambassador security cooperation between Jordan and Kuwait as well as the latest developments in the region.

The minister praised Kuwait's support to Jordan at all Arab, regional and international forums as well as the role of the ambassador in further strengthening relations between the two countries in various domains.

The ambassador conveyed an invitation to Majali from Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, Mohammad Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah, to visit his country for talks on issues of common interest.
