One Palestinian injured, 11 arrested in Hebron


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) One Palestinian was injured Tuesday by Israeli fire in the West Bank city of Hebron.

A spokesperson of the Popular Committee against the Wall and Settlements in Hebron, Mohammad Awad, said the citizen was shot in the leg and was transferred to Al-Ahli Hospital in Hebron, where he was reported to be in moderate condition.

Meanwhile, Palestinian sources reported that Israeli soldiers had stormed the city amidst heavy fire and had arrested scores of local citizens.

Israeli occupation forces have been launching almost daily search-and-arrest operations in which dozens of citizens and activists are routinely rounded up.
