(MENAFNEditorial) 1543 undergraduate and postgraduate students of Abu Dhabi University will be celebrating their graduation on Monday 26th of January at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in the Western Region and President of Abu Dhabi University's Board of Regents, the ceremony will induct 1,011 undergraduate and 532 postgraduate students into the region's specialized professional workforce. ADU's 9th graduating class also includes 759 student cadets graduating from the University's military programs which are developed in collaboration with the UAE Armed Forces General Headquarters.
H.E Ali Saeed Bin Harmal Al Dhaheri Chairman of Abu Dhabi University's Executive Board stressed the importance of the celebration as they commemorate the University's input to the region and the UAE's labor market with specialized professional cadres who will be vital additions to the region's human capital, and trained to serve the community as their predecessors of ADU graduates. "This year, the University's celebrations of its 9th graduating class is of special significance as it also coincides with ADU's entrance into its second era of academic excellence, and achieving several milestones. Chief among them, is the College of Engineering's recent success in receiving international accreditation from the world-renowned prestigious Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET for three of its undergraduate programs," said Bin Harmal.
Bin Harmal pointed out that Abu Dhabi University's achievements so far have been an impetus to reach further heights of academic excellence. "It doubles our responsibility as one of the nation's higher education institutions and ensures that we strive even harder to apply global standards, ensure quality performance and international learning outcomes through offering top-notch programs that meet the policy agenda of Abu Dhabi's Government and its Economic Vision 2030", concluded Bin Harmal.
