Qatar Airways launched new route to Amsterdam

(MENAFN) Qatar Airways announced it is launching a new route to Amsterdam starting on June 16, marking the first new destination launched by the carrier in 2015, as well as increasing the number of European destinations that it offers to 34, approximately 25 percent of its total route map, QNA reported.

"Amsterdam has long been on our list of destinations to introduce to our network, and we are delighted to now be adding this dynamic European city to our route map. Qatar Airways looks forward to bringing our five-star service to The Netherlands, and providing travelers with an extensive list of destinations across the Middle East, Africa and the Far East," Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive said.

The Qatari carrier said the new route will operate with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, adding that it is confident that the route will result in boosting the business ties between Qatar and the Netherlands, particularly as the Dutch capital is the base for seven of the world's 500 largest companies, including Philips and ING.
