(MENAFN- Gulf Times) HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday ratified a Cabinet decision setting up a committee to monitor fuel storage, distribution and dispensing outlets.
The decision stipulated that the committee is to be set up under the chairmanship of a representative of Qatar Petroleum, a representative of the Ministry of Interior (General Directorate of Civil Defence) as vice-chairman.
It will have the membership of a representative of the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Transport, Qatar Electricity and Water Corporation, Qatar Railways Company (Q-Rail), Qatar Woqod Company (Qatar Fuel) and a representative of the owners of the private fuel stations to be nominated by the president of Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Qatar Chamber).
FThe Emir also endorsed Cabinet decision forming a tender committee at Qatar Tourism Authority.
The decision stipulated that the committee is to be set up with four representatives of the Qatar Tourism Authority, including the chairman and vice-chairman along with representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, the Ministry of Justice, the Central Tenders Committee (CTC) and the Audit Bureau-Qatar.
FThe Emir endorsed a Cabinet decision amending some provisions of Decision No 37 of 2009, setting up the standing committee of the convention on the law of the sea.
The decision stipulated that the committee will have two representatives from the Foreign Ministry, one of them as chairman, and membership of a representative of the Emiri Diwan, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning, the Ministry of Energy and Industry, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Transport and the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.
