Kuwaiti, Egyptian leaders hold talks on ties, cooperation


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received Egyptian President Abdelfatah Al-Sisi at Bayan palace on Monday, a meeting attended by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

Official talks were held between the two sides, where the Kuwaiti side headed by His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.

Al-Sisi chairs the Egyptian delegation.

Deputy Minister of Amiri Diwan Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah said in a statement the talks dealt with ways of boosting bilateral relations and cooperation, as well as issues of common interest.

The talks, he added, were held in a cordial atmosphere, which reflected the desire of the two sides to further cementing relations.
