(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani issued Emiri decision amending some provisions of No. 39 of 2011 setting up the steering committee of the establishment of Qatar railways network (Rail).
The decision stipulated that the committee is to be set up with the Prime Minister as Chairman, the Minister of Transport as Deputy Chairman with the Minister of Municipality and Urban Planning, Chairman of the Public Works Authority, Deputy Assistant Undersecretary for Urban Planning Affairs at the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning, representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation and Qatar Railways Company as members.
The Emir also endorsed cabinet decision amending some provisions of decision No. 36 of 2011 fixing fees and wages at sea ports of Qatar and ship registration fees.
The Emir endorsed cabinet decision amending some provisions of Cabinet decision No. 9 of 1993 regulating work of joint and specialized committees.
The two decisions are effective starting from the second day of their publication in the official gazette.
The Emir endorsed a number of Cabinet decisions related to expropriation of some real estate for the public interest.
Meanwhile, the Emir yesterday met with the Ambasador of ssador of Algeria Abdel Fattah Ziani on the occasion of the expiry of his tenure in the country.
The Emir presented the Algerian envoy with the Sash of Merit in recognition of the role he played to enhance bilateral relations.
