NBO strengthens senior leadership team with 9 Omani appointments


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) National Bank of Oman (NBO) has appointed nine Omanis to key senior positions within the bank. The appointments represent the next step in NBO's journey to deliver service and operational excellence as well as its commitment to provide the best career path for Omani nationals working in the financial services industry. 

The appointments were made following a review of NBO's organisational model to ensure it has the necessary structures and talent in place to capitalise on current and future opportunities at home and abroad a press release said.

Nasser al Hajri has been appointed as general manager - chief human resources officer and head of corporate affairs Nasser al Rashdi as general manager – chief SME officer and head of international business Salma al Jaaidi as chief risk officer subject to regulatory approvals Hassan Shaaban as head of government banking and business synergies Sayyid Wasfi al Said as deputy head of the wholesale banking group Hamood al Eisri as head of internal audit Ibrahim al Maamari as acting head of compliance Leen al Atassi as head of corporate communications and CSR and Saleh al Harthy as acting head of information technology.

These appointments re-affirm the bank's commitment to developing and promoting Omani talent to senior roles in support of the nation's Omanisation efforts.
