UAE- KCRs dreams of Hyderabad are unrealistic: Congress

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) THE CONGRESS in Telangana has slammed the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government for what it termed as taking people on a ride with its unrealistic dreams for the capital city of Hyderabad.

Accusing Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of making false promises week after week Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee vice-president Mohammed Ali Shabbir listed out the major promises made by KCR as the chief minister is known for the development of Hyderabad.

“KCR who completed seven months in power on January 2 is apparently trying to take advantage of poor public memory and making a new promise at the drop of a hat while assuming that people would not question him on the fulfillment of other promises made earlier” he said.

The Congress leader said there has been no progress on the promises of shifting Chanchalguda Jail and Hyderabad Race Course from the Old City.

Claiming that the state government would require about Rs2000 billion to implement the promises made by KCR for Hyderabad alone he said the administration would have to utilise its entire Plan budget for the next four years only for the development of Hyderabad.

“And of the Rs1000 billion budget of Telangana State the Plan expenditure is only about Rs500 billion. It clearly shows that the promises made by KCR are completely unrealistic” Shabbir said. — newskhaleejtimes.com
