(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) A gunman murdered a senior officer in the army in Ataq town of Shabwa province in eastern Yemen, a military source at the Third Military Region said on Sunday.
Operations Chief of 21st Mechanized Brigade Colonel Hamoud Hussein al-Thrhani was assassinated when he came out of his home on Sunday morning, the Defense Ministry's website quoted the source as saying.
Al-Thrhani's car was also looted by the gunman, Yemen News Agency (Saba) reported.
