Mideast situation main topic of Jordanian, Palestinian PMs meeting


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Jordanian Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour and his Palestinian counterpart Rami Hamdallah held a meeting here Sunday, discussing the latest developments in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

Speaking to the press after the meeting, Hamdallah thanked Jordan for its continuous support to the Palestinian cause and lauded the Jordanian initiative at the UNSC to recognize Palestine as an independent state.

Palestinians would also like to thank Jordan for its stance against the Israeli violations in Jerusalem, said Hamdallah.

On his part, Ensour said that his country would forever stand by the Palestinians in their quest to gain recognition as an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

He affirmed that Jordan policy towards the Palestinians will remain undeterred, noting that his country would continue to develop relations with Palestine on all possible domains.
