Qatar's GDP hits USD53b in Q3


(MENAFN) According to the Qatari Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics (MDPS), the country's gross domestic product (GDP) is estimated to have hit USD52.99 billion during the July-September period of 2014, QNA reported.

The MDPS said that the current GDP represents an increase of 4.1 percent compared to the estimate of the corresponding quarter of 2013 which placed it at USD50.89 billion, while recording a 1.8 percent increase compared with the previous quarter estimate of USD52.05 billion.

Meanwhile the quarterly GDP at constant prices was estimated at USD26.76 billion, thus registering a growth of 6.0 percent compared with the estimate of the third quarter of the previous year which was estimated at USD25.24 billion, while compared to the previous quarter 's estimate of USD25.76 billion, it has registered a growth of 3.9 percent.
