Oman's Riyada launches newspaper for entrepreneurs


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Riyada (Public Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development) on Wednesday launched the first edition of its newspaper Entrepreneurs. 

The publication follows a decision in this regards taken at Saih al Shamekhat in Bahla on creating economic and media programmes to instill a culture of entrepreneurship support entrepreneurs and help promote their products and services.

H E Hamad bin Khamis al Amri Undersecretary for Labour Affairs in the Ministry of Manpower launched the publication at the Diplomatic Club in the presence of a number of CEOs entrepreneurs and media professionals.

In his speech Khalifa bin Said al Abri acting chief executive of Riyada said that the newspaper represents a path that complements efforts of the local media to promote a culture of entrepreneurship in the community to highlight SMEs and the also success stories of entrepreneurs who can be role models for young Omanis wishing to start their own projects.

The publication will also help SMEs promote and market their products and services he further said.

Hamoud bin Ali al Touqi CEO of the Advertising and Press Technology Centre said that the newspaper will contribute towards creating more awareness on entrepreneurship and developments in the SMEs sector.

It will act as a platform for dialogue between the entrepreneur and a strategic partner and educate entrepreneurs on the concepts  of finance trade and investment he said.

The launch included a presentation by Riyada and the Al Rafd Fund on services support to and development of entrepreneurs and promoting the culture of entrepreneurship.
