GM recalls 92,221 defective units in US


(MENAFN) Local media reported that US automaker General Motors announced recalling 92,221 additional SUVs and trucks for potentially deadly defects, Xinhua reported.

The recall includes 2011-12 Chevrolet Silverado HD, Silverado LD, Suburban, Tahoe, Avalanche GMC Sierra LD, Sierra HD, Yukon, Yukon XL, Cadillac Escalade, along with ESV and EXT versions in the US.

GM also announced recalling nearly 9,000 defective vehicles in other countries. Defects of ignition switch are at the heart of the recalls, and others are due to seat problems.
