Palestinian National Reconciliation Delegation Leaves Gaza


(MENAFN- QNA) A Palestinian National Unity Government delegation comprising eight Ministers and 45 administrative and technical officials left here today for the West Bank wrapping up a four-day visit during which they were briefed on the situation of ministries in the sector.

Palestinian labor Minister Mamoun Abu Shahla said during the visit every minister gave a briefing on the problems and crises in Gaza, adding that the ministers committed themselves to double efforts aimed to resolve the crises in the Gaza Strip.

The visit brought a solution to most problems of ministries, especially the Ministry of Health with promises that the ministers would return to Gaza within a week, Abu Shala said On the worsening power cuts crisis in the Gaza Strip, Abu Shahla said the crisis was due to the fact that the electricity distribution company earnings did not exceed128 million Shekels from 800 million Shekels, the value of the issued invoices, explaining that Gaza power plant daily cost one million per day.

He noted that electricity crisis in Gaza was exacerbated by the intransigence of the Israeli occupation authorities which refused to increase the amount of electricity provided to the sector, noting that it stands currently at 120 Mega Bite.
