(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The police raided the house and arrested them after a woman who was kidnapped raped by two of the accused called the police after escaping from their custody.
Dubai - The Dubai Police have arrested two male suspects for raping a woman and forcing her into prostitution. Four women have been arrested for engaging in prostitution while two other male suspects are at large.
The operations room of the Dubai Police was informed on December 25 at around 5am about a rape case in Al Wuhaida area in Dubai.
A 31-year-old Filipina identified as A.B. and who works as an accountant in a company said that on December 24 at around 7.30pm while she was waiting near Al Khail Gate area to get a cab or bus to go to Dubai Sports City a car stopped by and the driver offered to drive her there for lesser rate. “So I got in the car.”
The woman told the police that the driver who looked like an Asian started talking on his phone in his language. After a while he stopped the car and two men who seemed to be in their thirties got in and sat with her in the back seat. The two men then asked to have sex with her and threatened to harm her if she refused.
Both men raped her while the car was moving on Al Khail road. Then the driver stopped the car and came to the back seat and raped her while one of the two men who got in drove the car. The three suspects then took the woman’s phone and Dh700 from her.
By around 10pm the car reached Abu Hail where the driver called a woman who came and told A.B. that has to work in prostitution and took her to a traditional looking house where she saw a group of women. She told the police that as soon as she reached the house another man raped her.
The woman said she was scared and could not sleep and hence early in the morning at around 4.45 she jumped over the wall and went to an under-construction building nearby where she found some people. She asked for help and they called the police who rushed to the site immediately. The police raided the house and arrested four women while the four male suspects ran way. The police formed a team and managed to arrest two suspects.
