Oman registers lowest inflation rate in GCC


(MENAFN) Data showed that Oman has registered the lowest inflation rate among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in October, which stood at 1.02 percent, Times of Oman reported.

Inflation rate across the GCC regions ranged between 1.02 percent and 3.11 percent in October, according to the Statistical Center for Cooperation Council for the Arab Countries of the Gulf (GCC-Stat).

The UAE recorded the highest inflation rate among GCC countries, registering an increase of 3.11 percent, followed by 3 percent in both Kuwait and Qatar, 2.6 percent in Saudi Arabia and 2.5 percent in Bahrain.

Compared to September, inflation rates showed a slight increase of 0.2 percent in Saudi, 0.11 percent in the UAE, 0.1 percent in both Oman and Qatar, while prices in Bahrain and Kuwait remained stable.
