UK Canary Wharf to take no action on USD4b takeover bid

(MENAFN) UK business district Canary Wharf said it won't take any action on a takeover bid of USD4 billion, saying that the offer undervalues the company, The Peninsula Qatar reported.

US investor Brookfield Property Partners LP and Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) published their final offer document for the majority of the London-based financial district.

"The board believes that the offer from QIA and Brookfield does not reflect the full value of the company, its unique operating platform and future growth potential," Songbird said in a statement.
