Saudi- 'Hire Me' gets over 8000 job applications
(MENAFN- Arab News) At least 8150 job seekers of the social insurance beneficiaries applied for jobs via the Internet service (Hire Me) which was launched by the Ministry of Social Affairs 10 days ago an official said.
Mussaied Al-Suleiman the director of the Computer Department at the ministry said the data exchanged by the social insurance agency at the ministry and Hafiz program showed that 35 percent of the beneficiaries and their affiliates of working age applied to seek the help of the program.
Al-Suleiman said the ministry is following the approach of the comprehensive insurance in a bid to improve the living standards of beneficiaries and help them find jobs.
'The service 'Hire Me' was launched with the aim to help job seekers of the social insurance beneficiaries and their affiliates of working age to register in the service voluntarily' he said.
The service seeks to build a database for job seekers of the beneficiaries he said and added: 'The ministry will submit the data during the first phase to the Ministry of Labor the Human Resources Development Fund and the Social Charity Fund to help job seekers find jobs in the private sector.'
He observed that the ministry will cooperate during the second phase with reliable institutions that have commercial registries and headquarters and will allow such institutions to look at a part of the data submitted by job seekers.
If the two sides find mutual grounds the ministry will follow up and complete the remaining procedures and document the employment process.
Al-Suleiman confirmed that employing the children of beneficiaries who are of working age will not affect the benefits the head of the family receives.
