Iran allocates USD948.63m for 2 petrochemical projects


(MENAFN) According to a provincial official, Iran has allocated USD948.63 million for completing the construction of two petrochemical complexes in Kohgilouyeh-Boyerahmad Province, Tehran Times reported.

The complexes are complete by 32 percent and 5 percent, respectively, the head of Industry, Mine and Trade Department of Kohgilouyeh-Boyerahmad was quoted by IRNA news agency.

Once semi-finished petrochemical projects are completed and a number of planned petrochemical units come on stream, the country's petrochemical output will be increase to 180 million tons annually.

"The finance required to implement the projects is planned to be secured through attracting foreign investment," National Iranian Petrochemical Company's Managing Director said.
