Sharjah — Five persons suffered serious stab injuries in group clashes in two localities in Sharjah on Sunday night.

The first incident involved two groups of Arabs mostly teenagers of whom three received serious stab injuries in their abdomen and other parts of their bodies. The injured were a 31-year-old Palestinian identified as S.K; a 17-year-old Syrian M.A; and a 21-year-old Jordanian identified as M.S. They have all been admitted in Al Kuwaiti Hospital while the police have launched a search for the others involved in the clash especially for those who stabbed the trio.

During interrogation the police found out that the reason behind the fight was a planned homosexual assault on a 13-year-old boy. The latter was defended by another group of teenagers.

The second case involved a group fighting in a labour accommodation in Sharjah Industrial Area which resulted in serious stab injuries to two Pakistani workers — 37-year-old Z.A.K and his 28-year-old co-worker W.A.K. The two workers are fighting for their lives in the ICU of Al Kuwaiti Hospital.
