Man accused of breaking into flat to steal lingerie


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times)  An Asian man stood trial in the Sharjah Shariah Court recently on the charge of stealing women's underwear.

According to the case, the accused, identified as N.N, jumped into a flat in Al Majaz area from the kitchen window. The owner of the flat informed the police who arrested the suspect. During the court hearing, the accused confessed that he broke into the flat and stole undergarments but denied that he broke the door of the flat.

Presiding Judge Hussien A Lousoofi adjourned the case to January 19.

Brother's blackmail

In another case, the court charged a Pakistani man, identified as M.A, with blackmailing his brother.

The case dates back to November 6, when M.A. called his brother D.A and threatened the latter to bring to him Dh10,000 or else he would come to his furniture shop and destroy it.

D.A. then lodged a complaint with the Sharjah Police.

During the court hearing, a witness, identified as Z.A, told that court that he heard M.A asking D.A. to bring the money or else he would damage the latter's shop.

The accused M.A. admitted that he had blackmailed his bother and asked the court for a grace period to reconcile with his brother. The court adjourned the case to January 12.
