(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Katara General Manager Dr Khalid Ibrahim Al Sulaiti yesterday met Chinese Ambassador Gao Youzhen who praised the strong bilateral relations between Qatar and China.
The Ambassador lauded the events and the variety of cultural activities being organised by Katara and expressed desire, on behalf of the embassy, to take part in the upcoming National Sport Day events by presenting sports which make Chinese historically known in the world.
The ambassador stressed the importance of cultural and artistic activities, exhibitions and festivals being organised by Katara to introduce the Qatari heritage and local culture as well as to enhance cultural exchange and build bridges of cultural communication between peoples.
For his part Dr Al Sulaiti explained the aims of Katara in promoting cultural activities and maintaining Arab-Islamic identity and its support for talented individuals in different areas of creativity and helping them improve their local and international cultural contributions for excellence in intellectual, artistic, literary and musical fields.
