The Russian artist Petro Wodkins will release a new edition of his popular Sound of Power speakers. The first edition was released earlier this your and featured Kim Jong-Un Vladimir Putin Barack Obama Muhammar Al.Gaddafi and Robert Mugabe.
Despite a quite high price the first small edition was sold out after it got global attention. The speakers / artworks are made of porcelain and handmade in Sweden. They come in three sizes 25cm 55cm and a staggering 110cm for the largest version.
This artwork is centered about powerful men who in different ways affected the world.
Forces of good forces of evil forces of war and peace life and death. Men who made the world dance the their music. Petro Wodkins stated that it’s time for the world to not get mad but get even. So these figurines are all equipped with speakers and will be able to sing whatever tune or music the user prefers.

Petro Wodkins is one of the most talked about young artist coming out of Russia the last decade and his artworks are known for poking fun at authority. Questioning our perception of the world. He has previously made headlines with Armani Diapers where he made a new edition of Armani diapers that was widely reported about. We also challenged Robert Mugabe earlier this year with an audio installation and sculpture in Zimbabwe.
He was arrested in Brussels when challenging our perception about Beauty when replacing Manneken Piss and he is banned from both Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Denmark and MUMOK in Vienna after shutting down these Museums in an art action where he directed people out of the museums to find art outside the confined Art museum context.
