Fog disrupts flights at Abu Dhabi Airport

(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM))  Etihad Airways has said that flights to and from Abu Dhabi were disrupted this morning by the closure of Abu Dhabi International Airport due to severe fog.

Following the airport's closure at 7.30 a.m., the airline diverted 13 inbound flights to four other airports in the region € Dubai World Central, Sharjah, Al Ain and Bahrain.

Other inbound flights have been delayed, and departures from Abu Dhabi will be affected.

The airport reopened for operations at 8.50 a.m., and Etihad Airways is working to minimise disruption to its customers, and will provide updates.

Passengers are advised to contact the Etihad Airways Contact Centre or visit the Etihad Airways website for more information on the status of flights in and out of Abu Dhabi Airport.
